Kat is navigating life along side you.
She grew up in Sydney with her parents and younger sister. Obsessed with ballet, she completed the Royal Academy of Dancing examinations, while attending an all girls private school in the inner city. When not on her toes she was barefoot on the beach with family and friends along the New South Wales coast or watching lambs being born at dawn, fishing for yabbies and making butter on the family farm near Coonabarabran.
Kat has lived in the UK, USA and Italy, and traveled to Fiji, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the States and Israel.
Studied Arts at university, interior design, life drawing and memoir writing, been a runner, loves SUP boarding and worked as a legal secretary and paralegal, here and abroad in law firms and investment banks.
What a life! / What a life?
Alongside the highs are the 'moments in-between' coping - adopted, shy, losing grandparents and godmother, parents divorcing, breast lump at 19, mother fighting cancer, finding biological mother, miscarriage, divorce, shredded ACL and meniscal tear, remarrying, IVF, miscarriage, finding biological father... a lot of tears and anxiety.
It can seem on the surface that another's life / your life is lovely, but the reality can feel very much far from so and coping day to day might at times be a real struggle.
Kat discovered yoga while living overseas in the midst of divorce, with no family to hand, and credits the balance, calm and quiet strength yoga provides for supporting her through that difficult time. Over the last 18 years she has turned to many styles of yoga to navigate the 'moments in-between', including Hatha, Iyengar, Bikram, Ashtanga, vinyasa and yin, each style suiting particular seasons in her life. She undertook her yoga teaching diploma to deepen her knowledge and understanding of yoga and her own practice, and with a strong desire to teach and share the benefits of yoga with others.
Stabile Yoga comes from her desire to arm you with the confidence to navigate the tides of your life.
Kat, her husband and their furry baby live on the northern beaches in Sydney - she practices at Modern Movement, Power Living and Qi Yoga.
